ABOUT ME
My love of gundogs began as a teenager when I first owned and for a short time showed an Irish Setter named Tara, Eireannmada O'Tralee and then later another beautiful Irish called Gypsy, Brechins Gypsy Fire.
It was in January 2010 that I purchased my first English Cocker Spaniel, my beautiful gold girl Daisy, Glenbrook Golden Days. And so my journey began. Sold to me on breeders terms, I began showing her at 2 and 1/2 years of age and in a little over 12 months, Daisy gained her Australian Championship Title.
Daisy
From 2014 until early 2018, I worked in partnership with another prefix. In 2015, Daisy was mated to the UK import Sharemead Golden Shread, to produce two gold girls Lily and Cara.
Winning the Bitch Challenge and Runner Up Best of Breed with Lily at The Royal Melbourne Show in 2016 will always be a special memory for me.
Cara
Lily
During this time the beautiful black and tan bitch, Canigou Brigh Tan Beautiful, was imported from the world renowned and famous "Canigou Cocker Spaniels". Ask anyone in the dog showing world and they will say there is always that "special person" who has made a lasting impact on them. For me that is Tricia Bentley. I extend my heartfelt thanks to my friend and mentor, for her knowledge, guidance and support and especially for sending Kate.
Kate
Kate was mated to Gatsby, Ch. Glenbrook The Great Gatsby, to produce Cali. Now an Australian Champion, Kate is owned and loved here at Carawood and her daughter Cali is the first dog I have titled and bred with working under my own prefix.
Cali
I now exhibit and breed under my own prefix CARAWOOD and I am excited about my dogs and my future plans.
I want to thank all of my family and friends for their support, encouragement and advice in my new adventure. And so a new chapter begins.
