LITTERS

At Carawood Cocker Spaniels each litter is carefully planned taking into consideration the dam and sire, their pedigree and health status.

Litters are planned with temperament, conformation and soundness in mind. Through well researched and thoughtful selection my aim is to breed loving, intelligent dogs with good conformation, soundness and type. As I intend to keep pups from the litters I breed to continue my bloodlines, I look for these qualities in both the sire and dam. Puppies are bred to produce quality show dogs that best meet the breed standard and hence I only have limited litters.  It is important to evaluate what has already been produced and to wait for the right breeding combination in order to have a breeding plan moving forward. Raising a litter takes a lot of commitment, time and money and my aim is to always improve the breed. 

To further enhance my breeding program I have imported dogs from both the UK and France. Carawood Cocker Spaniels have quality English and European bloodlines behind them.

I am extremely grateful to my dear friend Tricia Bentley of the famous Canigou Kennels for entrusting me with the beautiful Kate, Ch Canigou Brigh Tan Beautiful. Kate is a special and much loved member of our family and she has made a significant impact on my breeding lines. I have also imported semen to use for future breeding.

Kate was shown at the recent 19th Cocker Spaniel National Championship Show where she won the Solid Veteran Bitch Class.

Black and Tan- lovely marked, in good coat condition with a sweet head, good neck and shoulders, good legs and feet, body balanced with good quarters and short hocks. Moved well.

In 2017, the gold dog Meden Agan Mister Magoo was imported from Sophie Simonelli in France. Although I no longer co-own Magoo, I have Magoo's semen for breeding purposes and I sincerely thank Sophie Simonelli for sending Magoo to Australia.
