PUPPIES
Kate's daughter Cali
I am a registered breeder with the ANKC (Australian National Kennel Council) now known as Dogs Australia, under the state body of Dogs Victoria and I abide by the rules and regulations set down. I am also a committe member of The Cocker Spaniel Club of Victoria Inc. and actively involved in the breed.
I am a Recreational Breeder only. My aim is to always breed healthy cocker spaniels of the highest quality, temperament and type. Puppies are bred to produce quality show dogs and to improve the breed, hence I only have limited litters. From these litters however, puppies may be available as loving family companions. I take great pride in my puppies and aim to give them the best start in life, the best care, food and socialisation.
Puppies are born and lovingly raised in our home. The first few weeks of a puppy’s life are extremely important. My puppies encounter many different noises, stimuli, learning experiences, environments and different people during their 8 week development with me to ensure that they are well adjusted and well socialised before going to their new families.
Puppies are sold on "Limited Register" which means that they cannot be shown or bred with.
The Limited Register still allows them to compete in dogs sports such as agility, obedience, tracking, Dancing with Dogs, Gundog retrieving and field trials etc.
Of utmost importance is the health and well being of my dogs. At Carawood all my dogs are DNA tested for the main hereditary problems in the breed. Selective and careful breeding ensures that none of my dogs will ever be affected by these diseases.

Prior to leaving with their new families all puppies will be vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and under go a vet health check.
Puppies will come with their Pedigree Registration Papers, Microchip Registration Papers, Vaccination/Worming Records, Vet Health Check Certificate and a Puppy Gift Pack. A "Puppy Care Booklet" also provides information about care, diet, socialisation, training, exercise and basic grooming. I encourage families to bring their puppy back at about 4-5 months of age for an instructional groom. I am always available to help, support and offer advice to my puppy families and I love seeing photos of their progress and development.
Families are always welcome to meet the beautiful cockers of Carawood. Please check back to see when puppies might be due or contact me with an enquiry.
